Language, Prediction, and the Reality That Remains. I. Recursive Coherence # A dream is rarely surprising while it is happening. A relative waits in the kitchen. The city has somehow been relocated beside the sea. None of this demands an explanation until waking. Within the dream, each impossibility inherits the authority of whatever came before it. Expectation does not merely anticipate the scene. It furnishes it. The dreamer turns a corner expecting something to be there, and something is. Its appearance changes what can plausibly happen next. The generated world immediately becomes the evidence from which its continuation is generated.
Catallactics and Intelligence
Intelligence is prediction. A model of what comes next, built from what came before. And what came before was evolutionary competition. Evolution lacked foresight. To remove a blind spot you need to make a creature blind for generations, each generation surviving and reproducing without sight, and rebuild the eye correctly using the same process that built it wrong. That’s what the evolutionary gamble of CNS solved. The central nervous system brought selection inside, simulating the outside world with available information from the sensory organs. The organism itself could now model, predict, and correct within a moment to bring about its vision for the world.
Theosis and the Noumenon
What is outside human sense is inferable by the effects it produces; it is disclosed through uncreated energy. Although it cannot be perceived, synergy with the noumenon is possible. Theosis is achieved through working with the emitted energies— the grace of God, that is, the mere presence of the unknowable, discernible in every part of the observable world. Synergy with God can only be confirmed by its accordance with the phenomena; this is what predictive ability entails. The greater one’s participation in uncreated energy, the closer to a god by grace, the clearer reality—and what is about to come—becomes.
The Exoteric and Esoteric
The tension between esoteric and exoteric modes of communication shapes the very structure of how information operates. In systems governed by feedback and signal-processing —whether social, economic, or technological (which are largely the same thing, anyways) —the distinction between what is openly shared and what is strategically withheld becomes foundational. Exoteric is the reasoning behind mass media, democratic discourse, politics. The exoteric prioritizes visibility, ubiquity, and consensus. Exit is forbidden. It serves as the ideological infrastructure of politics, where legitimacy is tied to how widely an idea can be distributed and accepted. The exoteric demands participation, loyalty, presence—it feeds on noise and interprets silence as betrayal.
